ALA Report January 2012

ALA activities since last meeting:

1. Registered with bundled package for mid-winter andannual; attending Dallas midwinter now

2. Sent out an invitation to participate in 2012 Snapshot Day after last E-Council audioconference to last year's organizers. No response from anyone. Will contact people individually when I return to find out if it was too early, there's no interest, or the message did not reach recipients. If there is interest, I will try to establish a 2012 date in April and produce some sort of announcement to distribute at AkLA conference.

3. AASL is currently sponsoring a White House petition that is currently about 16,000 signatures short. Robin Turk should have more information about this, but I'll forward the information separately.

4. I've scheduled the ALA display materials for the AkLA conference. As I understand it the current ALA president, Molly Raphael, will be attending our conference.
