Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Registration is now open for Information Illuminated, the 2011 Alaska Library Association Annual Conference! We think you will find many excellent programs to attend. Thank you to all who submitted suggestions and proposals.

We've made a few changes this year and hope you find them stimulating and invigorating.

1. In an effort to cut down on extra stuff in our lives, we're supplying a patch to iron-on to an existing bag. Please bring your own favorite bag and we'll help modify it.
2. Awards events are occuring at two times. AkASL awards will be made at their association meeting immediately following the Authors to Alaska luncheon on Friday. AkLA awards will be presented at the General Meeting immediately following the State of the State Luncheon on Saturday.
3. Saturday dinner will be a Dine Around Juneau event. Our local membership will host informal groups at the restaurants around town. You can choose where to eat and who to join from an array of interest areas, favorite flavors, friends, or price range.
