Wanted: An enthusiastic librarian to entertain, educate and reach out to the youth of Anchorage from the Samson-Dimond Branch of the Anchorage Public Library system.
The librarian in this full-time position, in conjunction with system-wide youth services staff, will plan and present programs for youth; evaluate materials to maintain diverse and relevant youth collections; provide outreach services to the South Anchorage community; assist patrons in finding and using library resources; and oversee branch operations in the Branch Manager’s absence.

WHERE: Atwood Resource Center (formerly known as the Library and Archives), Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson, in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska.
WHAT: The Atwood Resource Center is seeking enthusiastic applicants for this year’s William Davis Internship. This summer internship position is funded by the Cook Inlet Historical Society and the Anchorage Museum Association. The recipient will receive a stipend of $3000. Formal training will include assistance with library and archival work, including processing and describing collections, preservation work, creating finding aids and assist in organizing collections following our move to the museum’s new expansion facility.
WHO: Applicants must be at least 18, must be computer literate, and should have an interest in a career in archives, libraries, history, art history, and/or museums.
