Alaska Airlines:

School Librarian Travel Grants

School librarians are eligible for one of fifteen AkASL (Alaska Association of School Librarians) Travel Grants of $1,100 each. Applicants must be a member of AkASL and information about this grant can be found at: http://www.akla.org/akasl/assoc/travel_grant.htm. The deadline for grant applications is December 15, 2007. Notification will be made no later than January 15, 2008.

Regional Travel Grants

Are you interested in attending the Alaska Library Association 2008 Conference and live in the Interior or Northern region of Alaska? Grant assistance is available for one attendee from within the Fairbanks conference region. The Alaska Library Association is offering up to $500 to a library employee, volunteer or board member from a library in the Interior and Northern Regions to assist with travel and lodging expenses incurred while attending the 2008 AkLA Conference. The conference registration fee will be waived for the award recipient. More information.
