College Credit

University of Alaska Anchorage

The one credit Continuing Education course, “Issues and Trends in Librarianship: Learning Through Libraries”, LS A590, will be offered at the Alaska Library Association Conference in 2008.

LS A590 is a graduate level course offered through the University of Alaska Anchorage that satisfies the Alaska Department of Education requirements for recency credits for certification renewal.

The cost is $100 if you register by February 9, 2008 . After February 9th, the cost will be $125.

Course requirements include attending 15 hours of AkLA Conference activities, documenting and summarizing sessions attended, and writing a 3-5 page paper. So, consider getting credit for what you learn at the 2006 conference, and remember to register early!
