Exhibitor Information & Registration Packet 1. Venue: Eben Hopson Middle School, centrally located near the Inupiat Heritage Center and Tuzzy Consortium Library. Exhibits will be in the Gymnasium. The Planning Committee has scheduled special exhibits-only periods with no scheduled conflicts. Breakfast smorgasbords, coffee service, authors’ book signings and the silent auction will all take place in the exhibits area. 2. Accommodations and Travel: Top of the World: (907) 852-3900, fax (907) 852-6752. Reservations toll-free number (800) 478-8520/mention the Alaska Library Association Conference. Rooms are $75.00 plus tax for the first person and $20.00 for an additional person. Hotel space is extremely limited. The Local Arrangements Committee is

or (907) 852-1720 for more information and assistance. 3. We expect an attendance of approximately 200 librarians, speakers, and authors, as well as the general public. This will again be a combined conference of the Alaska Library Association and the Alaska Association of School Librarians. The general public is invited for the book signings in the exhibits area on Saturday, March 12. 5. Confirmation will be sent by email upon receipt of registration. Assignment of tables will be done by the Exhibits Committee. 6. Commercial membership is available, and provides a reduced exhibits fee. Simply complete the membership on the registration form. Among the benefits, members receive Conference discounts, Alaska Library Directory, AkLA's Newspoke, and subscription to AkLA-L, the Association discussion list. 7. Sponsorships from exhibitors are warmly welcomed and gratefully acknowledged. The exhibitor registration form provides an opportunity to sponsor events. 8. Exhibits set-up starts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2005. 9. Exhibits will officially open Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. We will hold our traditional festive Exhibitors Reception on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. Exhibits will be open on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The last conference coffee break for attendees is from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Breakdown will start at 4:30 p.m. (to be completed by 7:00 p.m.) on Saturday, March 12. 10. Unattended tables are available (see registration form). We will set up a table with your materials. Materials should arrive no earlier than March 3, 2005. 11. Utilities/Internet access: Electricity and wireless internet connections are available (see under "Utilities" on Registration Form). Your needs will determine in part table placement in the exhibit area. Please be assured that we will have a complete technical team standing by to assist you in making your internet connections. We will provide the wireless network information in a later email communication. 12. Shipping exhibit materials: You may ship your materials to
Northern Air Cargo, Barrow, AK, 99723 to arrive no earlier than March
3, 2005, one week prior to the conference. The onsite person's
name, firm, and "AkLA Conference" should be clearly visible
