School Librarian Travel Grants

School librarians are eligible for one of fifteen AkASL (Alaska Association of School Librarians) Travel Grants of $600 each. Applicants must be a member of AkASL and information about this grant can be found at: http://www.akla.org/akasl/assoc/travel_grant_2006.htm. The deadline for grant applications is December 15, 2005. Notification will be made no later than January 15, 2006.

Regional Travel Grants

Are you interested in attending the Alaska Library Association 2006 Conference in but can¹t afford it? Grant assistance is available. The Alaska Library Association is offering up to $500 to library employees, volunteers and/or board members at libraries in the South Central and Southwest Regions to assist with travel and lodging expenses incurred while attending the 2006 AkLA Conference. Plus, the conference registration fee will be waived for one award recipient. More information.
