Cassandra Osterloh![]() Cassandra Osterloh is the Continuing Education Coordinator (CEC) at the New Mexico State Library. She has an MLS from the University of Maryland and has previously worked at the University of New Mexico University Libraries, U.S. Naval Academy Nimitz Library, and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Cassandra has served on ALA New Members Round Table Publicity Committee, ACRL Instruction Section Emerging Technologies Committee, Mountain Plains Library Association (MPLA) Awards Committee, and several New Mexico Library Association committees. In 2003, she was selected to attend the MPLA Leadership Institute and chosen in 2004 to attend ACRL's Immersion Institute for Information Literacy. She currently serves on the ALA Office of Literacy and Outreach Services Advisory Board, is a member of the WebJunction Managing Public Access Computing technology core competencies subject matter expert group, and serves as a WebJunction advocate and discussion board moderator. As CEC, Cassandra is charged with coordinating New Mexico State Library professional development efforts to improve staff competencies and library effectiveness in the state's public and tribal libraries. Her core constituency is geographically, professionally, and ethnically diverse. Cassandra lives in Albuquerque with her husband, Brian, and 3-year-old daughter, Alex. |
