Ground Transportation
Catch the shuttles and cabs in the area between the
parking garage and the baggage claim area; you must cross
the drop-off lanes with your luggage.

fare is approximately $20 each way.

Borealis Shuttle - Airport shuttle, $12/first person, $2 each additional
person, holds up to 14 people. Call upon arrival at airport and call the night
before for pick-up reservations from the hotel. Will take MasterCard or VISA,
phone 276-3600.
For those of you who will be driving to the Hilton or the opening reception
at the museum, here are some parking details.
Hilton Parking
Parking is available in Lot 12, which is on the corner of 3rd Avenue and E
Street, across from the hotel. Parking passes are available from the hotel for
$6 per day. Guests of the hotel can use valet parking, which is $14 per day
with in and out privileges. There are several other parking lots on 3rd
Avenue, but Lot 12 is the most convenient. All other lots have hourly fees.
Museum Parking
The museum parking garage will be open Thursday evening. The cost is $1/hr. In
addition, there is limited on-street parking in the vicinity of the museum,
primarily in the neighborhood east of A Street.
The conference will be held at the newly remodeled Hilton Anchorage, 500 West
3 rd Avenue.
The Hilton Anchorage has offered a great rate for our conference.
The rate is $85 for single and double rooms, with a $20 charge for each
additional person. State and local taxes, currently 8%, are additional. This
discounted rate will be available from three days before to three days after the
conference.
Please call early to make your reservations. We cannot guarantee room
availability at the special rate after February 4, 2002.
