Megan Turner

Megan Turner was in Alaska at the Alaska State Library Conference on March 8, 2003 in Juneau, Alaska, at the Juneau Public Library on March 9th, and at the Downtown Library Sunday, March 9th, 7pm. Fans met the author, Megan Whalen Turner.

Megan Turner writes intriguing fantasy; well plotted and grandly conceived. "The Thief", her second book won the Newbery Honor, American Library Association Notable Award, and was on the Best Books for Young Adults in 1997, three of the top prizes for American books for young adults. The sequel, "Queen of Attolia" was on the Booklist of top ten fantasy and has been described by Explorations as "brilliantly plotted, lushy characterized sequel filled with adventure".
